¡Vivan Los Niños! (Hooray for the kids!)is a Mexican telenovela for children that premiered in 2002. It ran for 310 episodes and finished in 2003.[1] The opening, Vivan Los Niños, was sung by the Latin pop group OV7. The closing theme of the soap opera, also titled Vivan Los Niños, was performed by Cuban-American singer/songwriter Ana Cristina. The show is a version of the Argentinan telenovela "Jacinta Pichimahuida, la maestra que no se olvida".
Lupita Gomez is a young teacher who recently left her people to go to work in Mexico City at the "United Fatherland" school, as recommended by her godfather Don Joaquin. There, she becomes a 2nd grade teacher. Lupita meets a group of lovely children in her class who she begins to adore. Her relationship with the children sends the cast on a series of comedic adventures.
